Dr. Suleiman Kimatta
Dr. Kimatta serves Apotheker as Director for strategies, business development and policy. He is responsible for monitoring and managing risks and opportunities to deliver significant priority strategies. Provide expert, strategic evidence based advice on highly complex strategy proposals, initiatives and issues to support informed decision making, and strategy development.
As a senior expert in maternal and child health, he also coordinates initiatives focusing on reproductive, maternal child and adolescent health and supports all Government coordination and engagements. Prior to joining Apotheker, Dr. Kimatta worked as Country Representative for Management Sciences for Health (MSH) in Tanzania. While at MSH, he supported the Accredited Drug Dispensing Outlets (ADDO) program to incorporate the Child Health and referral system in the ADDO model. Dr. Kimatta also worked as a UNICEF project health officer in Tanzania responsible for IMCI, the expanded program on immunization, nutrition, and malaria. He also served the Ministry of Health Tanzania in the capacity of Regional Medical Officer for Mtwara region.
Dr. Kimatta received his Doctor of Medicine and Master’s degree in Pediatrics from the University of Medicine Santiago de Cuba
